  1. To get the perfect square-shaped bars, let the pan cool completely to room temperature, then throw it in the fridge for about 30 minutes before slicing
  2. Get creative with your toppings! If you’re not a fan of one of the seven layers listed, make your own! Add in pretzels, candy, or dried fruit to customize it to your taste buds.
  3. This is a great recipe to make with your kids. Get them involved in the kitchen by picking their favorite add-ins and mixing ingredients.

DO 7 LAYER BARS NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?

These bars do not need to be refrigerated, but I do prefer to eat them when they’re a little bit cold. I find they hold together better and get extra chewy when chilled

HOW TO KEEP 7 LAYER BARS FROM STICKING TO THE PAN?

The key to preventing any baking from sticking to the pan is to prep your pan first. For this recipe I like to lightly grease my pan, line it with parchment paper, then lightly grease the pan again.
